The Berkshires are beautiful all-year long. In a matter of moments you can be hiking through the hills during the magnificent fall foliage season, or exploring our nearby small New England towns during winter.

We are only minutes away from Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort. Jiminy is the largest ski and snowboard resort in Southern New England with the only high-speed six passenger chairlift in the region. It has three terrain parks and a half pipe for skiers and snowboarders. It has forty-four trails, day and night skiing, equipment rentals, lessons, and programs for kids.

Jiminy Peak

Jiminy offers a range of mountain activities in the summer, including the most extensive lift-served mountain biking in the Berkshires. The trails are both single track and downhill cruisers, and some experience with mountain biking is necessary. Helmets are required. The Grand Slam chairlift operates for access to the lower mountain from 11am to 6pm on weekends beginning May 26 through June 10 and daily beginning June 16. The Berkshire Express chairlift to the summit, for access to the entire mountain, will operate from 12 pm to 3pm, Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays, beginning July 1st through mid October.

Ski Butternut is located further south just off Route 7 in Great Barrington. Butternut has 2 ski trails on 110 skiable acres with 10 lifts (3 quads) and a tubing center. SKI AREA HOURS:
Midweek lifts run 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (buildings open 1/2 hour earlier).
Weekends & Holiday periods lifts run 8:15 a.m. - 4 p.m.(buildings open 1/2 hour earlier). Christmas Day lifts run 10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
