Location
West Lake is located on West Street, approximately 1 mile off Route 57 in the Town of Sandisfield, Mass., Berkshire County
Also can be reached by taking the Sandisfield Road off Route 23 in the Town of Monterey.
History
West and Abby Lakes are a part of the Clam River Watershed are a complex of lands purchased in 1965 and 1966 and these lakes and dams constructed. Area consists of approximately 11,650 acres.
Facility
A primitive trail approximately 4 to 5 miles; 10 campsites; and a great deal of scenic environmental areas of nature to view.
Activities:
Hunting, fishing hiking, horseback riding. West Lake is famous for its Bass Fishing. Abby Lake has some trout and Bull Head.
